Joining the waitlist is free. If invited, you can prepare your profile at no cost. Monthly membership begins after approval, when you accept an invitation and authorize payment.

Membership includes staff-reviewed introductions and ordinary Get-Togethers. You pay your own venue and activity costs. Availability varies; no number of introductions or events is guaranteed. Membership is not available through this page. Pricing applies when membership is offered and you authorize it.

Who is Windy City Society for?
Adults 18 and older looking for platonic friendship in Chicago and nearby communities. Whether you are new here or have lived here for years, your interests and preferences guide the introductions. Your application is free.
Is this a dating service or a social club?
We introduce adults for platonic friendship. Membership includes individual introductions and optional small-group plans as the local community develops. This is not a dating service. Society does not provide an attending host.
What will a proposed friend see?
The first preview includes your first name, age, city or town, short biography, and reasons you may enjoy meeting. Photos are shared after both people express interest, as part of your membership. Your full questionnaire, birth date, ZIP code, family details, and private requirements are not shared.
Can I choose ages, genders, distance, and availability?
Yes. Your questionnaire includes these preferences and lets you distinguish flexible preferences from firm requirements. Both people's preferences are considered before an introduction is proposed.
How long does an introduction take?
A suitable introduction may take days, weeks, or longer, depending on who is available and how your preferences align. An active subscription continues to renew until canceled; no number of introductions is guaranteed.
What does a personal review include?
Before an introduction is sent, a person reviews both profiles, photos, and practical preferences. This review is not identity verification or a background check. For a first meeting, choose a public place where you feel comfortable.
